Dessert With The Sopranos
The NY Post reports the Eskimo Pie company has introduced a cherry-flavored ice-cream sandwich called the "Cherry Chip Bada Bing!" In addition to getting a small cut of sales, HBO will benefit from having "The Sopranos" logo emblazoned in red on boxes of the ice cream sandwiches. Sixpacks of "Cherry Chip Bada Bing!" began shipping to stores this month. They will be available in New York, birthplace of the original chipwich, as well as other parts of the Tri-State area.
As part of the deal, CoolBrands is talking with HBO about the potential for product-placement shots, which could lead to Tony and Carmela munching on ice-cream sandwiches following a sushi date. Or perhaps to somebody getting wacked with a thoroughly frozen Eskimo Pie.
